Happy Thanksgiving!! We are thankful to all of you for your support!
Will comes from a racing family. I'm his dad, Fritz Wilke. I'm so excited to help Will in this sport. I've been racing in the Sports Car Club of America for over 25 years and have won numerous championships and dozens of races in my career. Now it's time to help Will follow his dreams!
Will started off in karting at age 5 at East Lansing Kart Track. Now, in 2025, at age 14, he races his Coyote Motorsports Zenith kart in the National APEX Series and the National Cup Karts North America series, along with MCC Pro-Am Regional races in Cincinnati and KRA regional races at New Castle Motorsports Park.
Will also races in the INEX Legends series at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in his Race Driven Performance Bandolero.
Will has taken an interest in the business side of racing. He is active and engaged with his partners and continues to come up with ideas on how to do fun and unusual things for his partners.
Will's interest in entrepreneurship started when he was 6 when he hosted his first lemonade stand at the end of our driveway. That day, a local entrepreneur stopped by to offer encouragement and advice and Will was smiles ear to ear!
Will made $40 from $5 invested by Mom and Dad that day. Will's first step in running his lemonade stand was to pay back Mom and Dad once he had earned that first $5. The rest of the income was profit for Will that day and went straight into his piggy bank.
When I asked him what he learned that day, he had several answers for me. He said that he learned that cyclists are not likely to stop and buy lemonade. Good point. He said he learned that he could have made more money if he hadn't run out of lemonade. He said that next time he will buy more lemonade to start and he'll use his profits from this time so he doesn't have to pay back Mom and Dad.
All in all, it was a good lesson learned on how business works, how to pay off debts and the freedom that brings.
Will applied that lesson over the past several years and has since done many, many lemonade stands with friends, adding to his racing funds.
This fall Will was given an incredible opportunity to shadow a Motorsports Engineer at Indianapolis for the IMSA race there. He learned a ton and is super excited to pursue Motorsports Engineering to enhance his racing career.
Thank you for taking the time to support Will and his racing dreams!
His Ollie Rocket Racing Shop funds a portion of his racing. We hope you will find fun ORR things there!
